Widlar was a legend. I really wonder what would have happened if he actually overcame his disdain towards digital and embraced it, perhaps we would have had Microprocessor breakthrough far earlier..

The world used to have genuinely diverse people in it! Hope they are still out there somewhere (hiding from current corporate diversity haha...)

Love to hear more about anything analog, anything where benighted tight-fisted middle management trolls lose people, real innovators like Mead, etc.
